Page MP Janelle Saffin has called for local action to stop Sydney Airport Corporation imposing massive new fees of more than $3 million a year on REX airlines. "I ask all of us who use REX and our regional airlines to do two things: to protest to Sydney Airport Corporation and to send a submission to the ACCC. “The first because we do not trust Sydney interests to give regional interests a fair go. “And the second because under reforms implemented by Federal Transport Minister, Anthony Albanese, before Sydney Airport Corporation can increase their charges they have to argue the case to the ACCC,” Ms Saffin said. “It is vital for regional communities that the right of regional airlines to access Sydney airport is protected,” Ms Saffin said.
