Federal Member for Page Janelle Saffin is pleased to announce that Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard will visit Page on Tuesday, February 16.

Ms Saffin said she was delighted that Ms Gillard had accepted her personal invitation to make her first official visit to the electorate.

Ms Gillard will inspect local progress of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution and attend a dinner.

The Deputy PM is Minister for Education; Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations; and Minister for Social Inclusion.

A former lawyer, she is one of the nation’s most popular politicians and has been the Member for the Victorian seat of Lalor since 1998.
